19 of the Russian's 21 victories have been achieved on hard surfaces
A revitalized Daniil Medvedev won his maiden trophy for 882 days with success over opponent Moutet in the tournament title decider.
The Russian, a ex- world number one, has endured a difficult period, managing just one win at the big events and undergoing a difficult moment at the American major.
His unpredictability on the tennis tour - and difficulties with his serving in specific - led to him falling of the world's top 10 and ultimately parting ways with long-time coach Gilles Cervara.
Currently working with Johansson and Goetzke, he has consistently progressed in the last few weeks - climaxing in a hard-fought competitive win over challenger Moutet.
This marks the player's initial trophy following the 2023 Rome Masters and maiden on a hard surface after March of the previous year.
Success also signifies the Russian has won twenty-one victories at 21 different events.
"It's the first time I'm at a event with my two daughters at once, so to secure a title is particularly special," said world number 14 the champion.
"This title is in honour of my child my daughter, because the first title I won when my first daughter her name was born was for her."
The athlete, the former major winner, had been defeated in his previous six title deciders, comprising in Halle earlier this year.
His defensive approach and frequent outbursts on court had caused observers to wonder if his skill to perform at the top level was over.
Yet the 29-year-old has altered his approach in the past month, making an effort to advance forward and perform aggressively, reinforced by an improved serve.
He came back from a deficit in the opening set against the tricky Moutet, securing four of the last five games to take the lead.
The pair swapped service breaks in the following set before Moutet, bidding for his maiden professional title, seized the initiative to push for a decider.
The opponent rescued four initial break points in a competitive third set before the champion broke to that score to serve for the match.
Fittingly, Medvedev clinched victory with a point at the net area, with the Frenchman unable to manage a shot after two hours and 38 minutes.
